Trip to Cali!

Peter and I decided that since we are still young we could drive the 13 hrs from Seattle,WA to Oakdale,CA in 1 day and only stop for gas and potty breaks. So I packed and got everything ready for us to leave Tuesday night, so that come Wednesday Peter could pack up the car and come pick me up at work.

We were on the road no later then 4pm and excited to start our trip!

We thought it would be fun to stop by Vancouver,WA to have dinner with the Faller family and take Mak with us.

The Road around 10pm Wednesday night.

Weed, CA!! It was windy!!

Family.

My Brother and NEW Sister!!!

After the wedding Peter, Rein and I decided to go to a local pub to have a beer and fellowship some more. We had a blast!

The next day was Mal's Birthday so Peter and I took her out to Olive Garden to celebrate.

Then we went to go meet up with some friends to watch The Adjustment Bureau.

Sunday Afternoon we watched the Bride and Groom open gifts and Celebrated all the March and April B-days.

Everyone has grown up so fast!!

Misc....

Christmastime:

I forgot to post about how I spent Christmas so I decided to add it to this post. Since I had to spend my first Christmas as a married woman separate from my beloved; I thought why not have my grandparents and brother over? So Christmas Eve came and we enjoyed a wonderful night playing Mexican Train. For dinner we enjoyed Roasted Chicken(marinated for 24hrs), Green Bean Casserole, Caesar salad with homemade Caesar salad dressing and homemade Croutons, Roasted Red Tomatoes and Pistachio pudding for dessert!

Home:
I thought I would post some pictures of my Home. I realized that probably some of you have not seen pictures. So here you are! Enjoy!

Our Bedroom:

I don't have any updated pictures of our living room so I will be posting those soon. Well, when Peter gets home since he has the camera.

9 months!!!!

WOW! I can't believe that I have been married 9 months! It feels like just yesterday I got married and to look back so many things have changed in my life and I can't wait to see what God has planned for this year. Here are some things that I am looking forward to and will be praying about.

1. I have started working out at the gym(getting fit and losing weight is something Peter and I have decided to really work on this year and the rest of our lives).
2. I hope to read God's word more and continue to build my relationship with Christ.
3. I am working on becoming a better wife and help mate to my husband.
4. I am excited to(lord willing) see my Brother get married.
5. Peter will be going to school this year(so excited for him)!
6. My Job is amazing right now and I am so thankful to have a family that is willing to be flexible with changing my schedule when Peter is home.
7. I am excited to be making some new friends up here and hoping these relationships last a lifetime.
8. I am excited to see where God will have Peter stationed next and the adventures we will have there.
9. I hope that I can serve the Church more this year.

I miss and love all my family and friends!

Someone special to me.

Today we would have celebrated my Dad's 44th birthday with some games, a yummy chocolate cake he loved and just spending time with us kids. I will never forget the past birthdays we celebrated; they were spent playing putt-putt golf, driving go-carts, playing nertz, playing The Farming Game and going to John's Incredible Pizza (Modesto,CA).
I know my Dad is in a place where there is no more pain and suffering. Knowing that doesn't take away the pain I have inside me. I am blessed to have had 19 yrs with my Dad, to have made memories and stories to tell my kids and to see how God has been working in my life. I am blessed to have a wonderful Husband, a loving circle of friends and family and a heavenly Father who has and will always be there for me.

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me! Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Psalms 71 1-3
